Rieko, a mother, lost her husband in an accident and has been living with her son, Yugo. Working hard with only one woman, Yugo has grown up to be a student who can aim for a top university. From now on, all the hard work will be rewarded, and once Yugo becomes a member of society, a happy life awaits him…that was supposed to be the case. In the summer before Yugo’s graduation next year, the Hiraoka family consults with Shiraishi, his homeroom teacher, about his career path.
